He brings the fizz when my spirit feels flat. He brings the cloth when the world leaves fingerprints on my view. He brings the fuel when my tank is empty. He brings the compass when I’m lost in a fog of decisions. He brings the candles when the storm steals my light. He cools the pot when my thoughts start to rattle the lid. He breaks the boulder into stones, and the stones into pebbles, until even I can lift them. He is the steady weather in the wildness of my days. And He says, “I will lead the blind by a way they do not know. In paths they do not know I will guide them. I will make darkness into light before them and rugged places into plains. These are the things I will do, and I will not leave them undone” (Isaiah 42:16).
And that’s why I’m a Jesus dude.
