When you give someone a gift, you want them to enjoy it. Their smile becomes your smile. Their delight becomes your delight. Their joy becomes your joy.
Scripture says, “the gift of God is eternal life.” Not merely life that lasts forever, but life that begins now – life shared with Him. Eternal life is a gift to be enjoyed, not an invoice to be paid or a list of requirements to fulfill. A gift. And just like any good giver, God wants us to enjoy what He has given us. He paid dearly for it, and He is pleased by our pleasure in it.
That means today is about making the most of the life He’s given us – approaching Him with freedom and confidence, giving thanks, encouraging one another. It also means letting the reality of His life in you soften your fears, steady your heart, and brighten your steps.
So, as we step into this Monday, may this be our quiet refrain: “Father, help me enjoy what You’ve given me.”
May you walk into this week with the quiet confidence of someone deeply loved and freely gifted.
