I’ve been reminded lately that Jesus didn’t just come to secure our eternal existence; He came to give us life – a life we can actually experience with Him today. A life marked by trust, peace, and love. A life that grows as we practice the things He’s already made known. And because of that, I don’t have to spend my energy worrying about what I don’t know. There will always be unanswered questions, unfinished stories, and situations that refuse to explain themselves. But the things I do know – those are clear, and they’re enough to walk in today.
So here’s what I’m holding onto. I know God wants me to trust in Him – in His love for me, His wisdom, His timing – not just trust Him for the outcomes I prefer. I know He doesn’t want me carrying anxiety as though it’s mine to solve, but releasing it back to Him with thanksgiving. And I know He wants me to treat others the way I would want to be treated.
That may not give me a full map of the future, and it may not solve the most pressing questions on my mind, but it does give me a next step. And sometimes the next step is all the light we get – and all the light we need. When I practice what I already know, I move from defense to offense. Momentum shifts. The unknowns lose their power to intimidate me. Trust becomes more natural. Peace becomes more accessible. Love becomes more practical. And everything beyond that can rest safely in God’s hands.
As you begin your week, which part of this feels like the invitation God is placing in front of you right now?
