Pastor Dan Baty’s Monday Morning Boost

September 21, 2026 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

We’re living in the golden age of step‑counting. Fitness watches chirp. Wristbands flash. Apps cheer us on with badges, streaks, and a little digital confetti. Everywhere you turn, someone is keeping track of their steps.

Physical steps strengthen the body. Spiritual steps nourish the soul. So as you launch your week, why not dedicate *all* your steps – counted and uncounted – to the Lord as a prayer for a richer relationship with Him.

1. A step with the Lord – the step of awareness.
This is the step that simply remembers He is with you. Awareness turns ordinary moments into holy ones. Wherever you go, He goes – and wherever He goes, the possibilities are endlessly surprising. “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25)

2. A step towards the Lord – the step of invitation.
The Lord is always inviting you closer, always opening the way to deeper relationship. A step towards Him is your quiet “yes” to that invitation – trusting Him to draw you into delight, steadiness, and deeper connection. “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him.” (Psalm 37:23)

3. A step for the Lord – the step of partnership.
This is the step that joins Him in what He is doing. Partnership means your steps are available to His purposes. You move forward not by sight, but by faith, confident that He will whisper, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21) “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)

And as your feet carry you through the day, may your heart remember whose presence, invitation, and partnership make every step a blessing.
