As human beings, our physical lives are generally bound by the same natural laws. Gravity tugs on all of us. Biology happens. And two plus two are always four. It is not the same for the life of Christ within us. The Lord does not care for each of us by following general rules but according to our specific and individual needs and desires. (Yes, you are that precious to Him.) That is why His earthly ministry often seemed so perplexing and unpredictable to His friends and foes alike.
As it was when He was on earth, Christ’s life within us is personal and supernatural. That is why we sometimes find the spiritual processes taking place within us surprising to us and difficult to describe to others. That is also why, at other times, no matter how active may be our faith, He seems mysteriously dormant within us. He is living His wonderful life in us and for us with perfect love and wisdom.
“the riches of the glory of this mystery… is Christ in you” (Colossians 1:27)

Amen and Amy, Pastor. How incredible that our Heavenly Father, Savior Jesus and the Holy Spirit choose to minister to and through each of us uniquely as He wills. Hallelujah, what an incredible and marvelous Savior is He.
