The love of God is overwhelmingly sufficient for any problem I face in life. And where can I find this love? I can find it in only one place. The love of God can only be found in Christ Jesus our Lord. This revelation is so marvelous! I am reading Romans 8:39 with my spiritual eyes. I understand it now. Now, I grasp why God sent His Son into the world. Praise God forevermore! I must write this down before His inspiration leaves me. When Adam sinned, his sin separated mankind from the love of God. Mankind could no longer experience God’s love because of Adam’s sin. Before the Fall, Adam fully enjoyed the love of God because he was not separated from it! He basked in it whenever God showed up to fellowship with him. When Adam felled, he was separated from the love of God. I can only imagine how painful and distressful that must have been to Adam! But God had a remedy. God sent His Son to die on our behalf so that the love of God could once again be experienced by Mankind. I don’t know whether it was Pastor Baty’s saying out loud Romans 8:39 or whether it was my reading and meditating over and over Romans 8:39 but our Lord made Romans 8:39 clear to me. To fully experience God’s love, I must intimately know Christ Jesus our Lord. There is no other way. I understand it now. My spiritual eyes are open. It is only possible to fully experience and come alive in God’s love when I unconditionally surrender and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. The self-awareness of His love that I am experiencing right now exceeds my ability to capture it completely. I do not have adequate words to describe what I am experiencing, feeling, and thinking right now. All I can say is this. The love of God is far bigger than my problems. While it is true, my problems remain too powerful for me to overcome (in my strength or through my limited abilities), I know that in His time (by faith), the love of God through Christ Jesus will overcome them! That is the best way I know how to put down in words what Jesus Christ is telling me right now.
If this sermon is a sampling of Thursday night Bible Study, I wish we could add all Bible Studies to our Sermon list!
