What is your ministry? Not so fast. I am not talking about the ministry that is on the back of the church program, or the organization you are part of. Your ministry is distinct from any position you may hold. It is the spiritual effect God has given you – and every Christian has one. It goes with you wherever you go. You may not be able to identify it exactly or define it when asked, but you have one. So it is not accurate to say, “I don’t have a ministry” just because you are not actively involved in an official ministry station. Some questions that can help you identify your ministry: 1) What do I do for others that energizes me as I do it? What personal qualities do others consistently commend me for? 3) What irks and irritates me? (This provides you clues for areas where you may want to make a difference.) The most important thing, however, is not identifying how God has wired you to serve but to be available to Him each day with the simple attitude, “What are You up to today, Lord, and how can I be part of it?”
