Don’t be discouraged when you find yourself in a place of “nothingness,” that seemingly dry and barren place of spiritual dullness, because “nothing” is never nothing with God. It is the stuff from which the Lord made the universe and upon which He hung the earth. He calls into the nothingness and brings new things into existence (see Romans 4:17).
So be patient. Be expectant. Be hopeful. Be calm. Praise the One who is the Lord of invisible substance, realizing He is using “nothing” as part of the exquisite craftsmanship of your relationship with Him.
And remember, good friends can have a great time talking about “nothing.”
