A Simple Meditation Aid

Take a favorite Bible verse or passage, or just one that has recently impressed your heart and with pen and paper slowly write the passage down.  (Don’t keyboard it on your computer – write it.)  You will be surprised how doing so, like a special seasoning, will bring out additional flavor from the passage.  It will also make the passage more memorable throughout your day.  Research has shown that the physical act of writing is actually part of the thinking process. That is why when we write, ideas sometimes seem to come from nowhere.  So applying this spiritually, we could say to write is to meditate.  Try it.  Even if you don’t consider yourself a “writer.”   It will boost your inspiration today.
