No matter how mature we are in our faith, if we want to experience the wonder of our God we must accept that He is infinitely greater than all that is familiar to us. We must learn to imagine surprise. We must believe He wants to take us to places we have never been, seen or even dreamed of. We must realize how very unimaginative we are compared to our Creator who “calls into being that which does not exist” (Romans 4:17). With the Lord “newness” is always but a word away.
