Today is a big day for National Football League hopefuls. It is Draft Day. So I wanted to take just a moment to remind you that you are a first round draft pick. God chose you because He wanted you, not because He had to. He chose you with the full knowledge of everything there is to know about you, not because He took a gamble and hoped for the best. He chose you despite the various opinions of others about you. He chose you with a precise plan for where you fit on the team. And He chose you for forever, not just for a few seasons or for as long as you are productive. “For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world…” (Ephesians 1:4). Now why don’t you take just a moment to thank Him and let that sink in.
