Every once in a while, take the time to lift your head up from your spiritual routine and your familiar thoughts about God. Take a deep breath, lift your eyes towards the heavens and acknowledge Him as the God whose ways are not our ways and whose thoughts are not our thoughts. Lift your hands to the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose greatness is unsearchable. The One who is in the heavens and fills the earth with His glory. The One who does whatever He pleases. Call upon Him whose name is wonderful and, at the same time, is beyond wonderful. Be freshly open and attentive to Him as the living God who is infinitely greater and far more fascinating than we can ever imagine. In other words, don’t just praise Him, “praise Him according to His surpassing greatness” (Psalm 150:2).
