Though we always want to strive for excellence in our behavior as believers, it is not just our Christ-like character qualities that can bring glory to God; our character flaws also provide an opportunity to give Him praise. The former displays His transforming power, and the latter demonstrates the riches of His grace. Either and both give us an opportunity to “proclaim the excellencies of Him…” (1 Peter 2:9).
