“It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’” (Matthew 4:4). It is by God’s directives that life’s provisions and the means of those provisions are supplied. This is so whether it be by “natural” and “ordinary” means or by supernatural and extraordinary means. And it is true whether in reference to our spiritual or natural life. Therefore, it is always wise to trust in God as the source of our sustenance rather than in the “bread” He provides.
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
