“Trust in the Lord” is not just a “commandment” from God; it is an invitation for us to be freed from the limitations of our own wisdom, power and resources. It’s not a directive to abandon our own abilities, but an offer to access His infinite and superior resources. It’s not unlike a child jumping into his father’s arms by his own strength, so the father can lift him up higher than he ever could have reached on his own.
