Every interaction with a person is a key that unlocks a door of feeling or understanding. For better or for worse. It may be a small room or a large one. It may lead to a cellar or to the roof. But something shifts within us and within the other person when we exchange words or expressions, or when we touch. A child laughs. A parent relaxes. A friend is encouraged. A co-worker is relieved. A student is inspired. A spouse feels appreciated. A police officer feels respected. A citizen feels protected.
Or it can be the opposite of all of these.
Therefore, let us prayerfully sanctify ourselves as instruments of God’s love and unlock doors that lead to enriching life experiences for others. He’s given us the instruction, the choice and the keys.
“Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14)
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
