An exchange I had this morning…
Church member to me: This is crazy! [He was referring to a situation that seems to be spiraling out of control.]
Me: Yes, it is! [It is not a flaw in our faith to call something what it is or to say how it feels.] But it is also part of our learning and growing in faith and love. As the old saying goes, “experience is the best teacher.” But even the best teacher can’t *make* us learn. That is why we have a live-in Tutor [the Holy Spirit] who helps us to be good learners. We talk to Him about the lessons, [what we think, how we feel, and where we’re “stuck”] and He coaches not only our understanding but also our “want to.” “For God is at work in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:12).
Have a great day, brother.
Something for all of us to take just a moment to consider today.
