Lord, I want to go where You are trying to take me. I may doubt. I may resist. I may retreat. I may relapse. But in my heart, I really do want to go.
If indeed this is the attitude of your heart, be encouraged by your faith and not discouraged by your results. Because the Lord looks at your heart, not just your performance. And He has demonstrated throughout history His willingness and ability to work with and through all of our obstacles. His primary goal, as evidenced by all the stories of Bible heroes, is to increase our faith in Him as our source and strength, not in ourselves. Our human weaknesses are the raw material He uses to that end. So, why not give them to Him and trust Him to do what He does?
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
