In the theater of life, I take the stage,
Not for applause, nor to engage
In a quest for worth in the eyes of the crowd,
But because in Christ, my value’s avowed.
Not for applause, nor to engage
In a quest for worth in the eyes of the crowd,
But because in Christ, my value’s avowed.
No longer bound by the world’s decree,
Nor by the mirror’s reflection I see,
I am a star, not in the making,
His glory displaying; vanity forsaking.
For in His eyes, I am complete,
Not by my works, but through His Feat.
A star by re-birth, of divine art,
Christ within, the very heart.
So, I perform, each day anew,
Not to become, but because I’m true
To my value given, beyond all measure,
Included in Christ, my greatest treasure.
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
