Technically speaking, there is no such thing as “time management.” Time cannot be managed. It moves forward relentlessly and never backs up. It never sleeps or pauses to rest. Time is a perpetual motion carrier and we are all its passengers. Therefore, a more accurate term than “time management” is “choice management.”
As time moves us ever forward, we do have some control over our choices. And everyone does in fact choose, whether deliberately or passively. Let each of us follow Joshua’s exhortation and “choose today whom you will serve,” (Joshua 24:15) not by obsessing over every minute, but by trusting the Lord to help us to be receptive and responsive to Him throughout the day. For in the end, what pleases Him most is our choice to place our faith in Him.
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
