“Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14). This instruction isn’t just a lofty ideal; it’s a practical compass for daily living. But life is messy, and what’s loving isn’t always obvious or pleasant. So, we won’t always make the “right” choice, but we can be consoled that this instruction isn’t directed to our choice but to our motive.
Practically speaking, taking a moment to pause and ask ourselves, “Is what I’m about to say or do coming from a heart of love?” is a blessing in itself. This pause helps us act thoughtfully rather than impulsively and may even reveal a more loving and considerate choice.
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
