Ready for a weekend soul-refresher? The qualities we know as the “fruit of the Spirit” in Galatians 5:22-23 (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control) aren’t a mixed bag of individual fruits. Instead, they’re all different aspects of one, unified fruit. When the Lord fills you with His Spirit, you don’t just get a taste of one—you experience them all.
When I’m brimming with God’s love, I also find myself enjoying His peace and joy. When I’m filled with joy, love and peace are also present. And when I’m enveloped in His peace, His love and joy are right there with me. Sometimes one of these qualities might shine brighter than the others, but they never exist in isolation. They’re like a close-knit crew, always rolling together and backing each other up.
When you lean into God’s Spirit, you’ll experience samples of all these heaven-sent qualities. His Spirit works holistically, nurturing our inner lives with His perfect blend of love, joy, peace, and beyond.
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
