Just a Moment with Pastor Dan Baty

God invites us to understand and know His lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness (Jeremiah 9:23-24) These attributes are marvelously woven into the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Lovingkindness: “For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16,) In His lovingkindness, He reached out to humanity, offering us the incredible gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Justice: “The just dying for the unjust, the punishment we deserved…” (1 Peter 3:18; Isaiah 53:5) He sent Jesus, the sinless one, to bear the punishment for our sins. His justice was satisfied, and the charges against us were dismissed.

Righteousness: “So that we could become the righteousness of God, He has become our righteousness…” (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 1:30) Through Jesus, we have become the righteousness of God. God did not lower His standards for us; rather, through Christ, He elevated us to meet them.

To understand and know the Lord’s lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness, we do not need a master class on each; we need look no further than the cross of Christ.

Something to take just a moment to consider today.
