Just a Moment with Pastor Dan Baty

February 21, 2025 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

Just as every element in an ecosystem interconnects, our lives are part of a divine ecosystem of God’s holistic care, woven together by His love and guidance. In a natural ecosystem, every component—plants, animals, water, and even microorganisms—plays a vital role in maintaining balance and harmony. Each element, no matter how small, contributes to the health and sustainability of the whole.

Similarly, in the divine ecosystem of God’s holistic care, every aspect of our lives is interconnected and purposeful. His care is not limited to isolated events or moments but encompasses the entirety of our existence. Every joy we celebrate, every challenge we face, and every decision we make is under His watchful care and woven into His purpose for our lives.

Embracing this truth is sometimes a big ask because the heat of adversity can parch our faith. But just as a tree draws nourishment from the soil, sunlight, and rain, we draw spiritual nourishment from God’s Word, His people, and the Holy Spirit. We are invited to actively participate in God’s care by giving thanks, casting our anxieties on Him, trusting in His plan and connecting with other believers. By embracing these action steps of faith, we open our hearts to receive the peace and assurance that come from knowing we are forever enveloped in His love. Experiencing his holistic care – through all of life’s events – is what the abundant life Jesus promised us is all about.

Something to take just a moment to consider today.
