There are sacred moments in prayer
when the living Spirit of God touches our spirit,
and we sense, even if only for a brief moment, His pleasure.
It is His “Amen” to our thanksgiving, praise, or spiritual longing.
Or it may come as we lift a request on behalf of someone in need.
We do not create these moments.
They are not the products of emotion.
They are unscheduled and unscripted—
divinely given, surprising beams of glory
that shine upon us and nurture our faith
in the God who sees us, knows us,
and who, in that moment, wants us to feel His embrace
in a special way.
Whether we have already recognized these moments in our lives
or are simply open to receiving them,
the truth remains—
our spirit and the Spirit of God are in communion.
And sometimes He does the unexpected
to reassure us that He is,
and that He cares.
“The Lord takes pleasure in His people” (Psalm 149:4).
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
