“The whole earth is full of His glory” (Isaiah 6:3).
The Lord is like glorious music that is always playing. But He gives us the choice whether we will tune in to Him or not. And it is perfectly fine to tune in to Him simply for the pleasure of His company, not only as preparation for the next task, problem or mission.
As we set apart time with Him, we can say something when we have something to say and say nothing when we have nothing to say. We can bask in thankfulness for what we have, for who we are to Him and for who He is to us. We can silently meditate on the wonders of His love and affection for us.
He is the Creator Composer, and His glory is the music that fills the atmosphere.
