In attempting to capture the riches of the Lord’s person and works, I’ve run out of single-word descriptors, so I’ve begun creating hyphenated adjectives like joy-stirring, wonder-struck, truth-touches, exceeding-ness, Spirit-ignited, supernaturalized, and (borrowing from Gideon’s story) “fleece-wetting reassurance.”
In truth, no net of words cast at His glory could ever fully capture the glory of our Lord. No lexicon could ever be expansive enough. No camera could photograph the expanse of His majesty. According to the Scriptures, His eternal desire is not for us to just marvel at Him, as we would an awesome spectacle of nature, but for us to *know* Him and to intimately “relationalize” with Him.
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
