Just a Moment with Pastor Dan Baty

January 8, 2021 By Dan Baty 1 Comment

“…you shine like stars in the universe” (Philippians 2:15).

You probably don’t think of yourself as being “Hollywood,” but you are a star in God’s eyes. Your screen is infinity and your name is written on the marquee over the entrance to Heaven itself.

Though that may be a colorful characterization of your relationship with God through Christ, it is not an exaggeration. The reality of who you are to Him is far more glorious than any words can express and, like the universe itself, far beyond our imagination.

Something to take just a moment to consider and celebrate today.

You are right, Pastor. I never think of myself as “Hollywood.” It is equally true that I do not think of myself as a star. However, since you declare I am a star in God’s eyes, I will accept this truth by faith. So, I will take your advice and take this moment to celebrate the undeniable fact that my life is hidden in Christ. And not just my life but all of our lives both individually and corporately are hidden in Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. To me, this is a glorious truth. However, In this life, I can only know this truth in part. But, the day is fast approaching when I will experience this truth totally…when I see Him face-to-face.
