The Lord not only speaks to us, He speaks our individual language. All of us have a style, a mode, a “personality” of communication by which we best receive and understand information. This “personal language” incorporates our backgrounds, our experiences, our dreams, our fears – everything about us – including where we are in the moment. He knows not only who we are today, but the whole story of how we came to be the “us” of today. So, when the Lord speaks to our hearts, He is speaking to the full and unabridged version of us. We can trust that He knows not only what He is talking about, but exactly whom He is talking to.
