“From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised. The LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens. Who is like the LORD our God, Who is enthroned on high” (Psalm 113:3-5).
As spring bursts forth in all its captivating magnificence and splendor, let us remember that whatever glorious sights there be on the earth or in the heavens, the Lord is the King of Glory. All the wondrous spectacles of nature that enrapture our spirits are but glimpses of His person and the fringes of His ways.
Therefore, it is an even greater marvel that this One, whose majesty is above all things in heaven and on earth, extends His hand to each one of us personally and says, “Come! Know Me.” No wonder a puzzled David took pen in hand and wrote, “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that You care for him?” (Psalm 8:3-4).
A profound mystery that is a blessing to take just a moment to consider today.
