Labels are good for telling us what clothing is made of but not people. A label can tell us nothing about the true quality of a person nor the complexity of his or her journey. That’s why Jesus often shocked not only His enemies but also His friends and family. He interacted with people as individuals, one person at a time, without regard for the labels others had attached to them. He still operates that way to this day. He deals with us according to who we are at the moment, not by our reputation.
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
