“Just a Moment with Pastor Dan Baty”

December 17, 2021 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

“My God shall supply all your needs” (Philippians 4:19). That’s great news! However, there is even more to this promised blessing to consider. He supplies our needs in a particular way, “according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Jesus is not only rich in the resources we need, but He is also rich in glory, and He supplies our needs in accordance with that glory.

In other words, it’s not just what He provides it’s the way He provides it. He does it with divine style, with divine creativity, and with a personal touch. It may be awesome and jaw-dropping, or it may be in echoes of mercy and whispers of love. Whether great or small, He supplies all our needs in ways intended to remind us that He is, that He is mindful of us and that He is with us! Unlike the Nike ad, He doesn’t “just do it,” He does it in ways that are beyond all that we may ask or imagine. He doesn’t do the same old thing, the same old way, at the same old time. He is not just creative; He is the Creator. He isn’t being pretentious; He is just being who He is, the King of Glory.

Something to take just a moment to joyfully consider today.
