One Last Moment for 2021
A timely reminder is often more helpful than a new perspective. “Keep your eye on the ball” is as old as the game of baseball, but even in the modern age of sports “analytics,” it remains one of the most important fundamentals of hitting.
In the same way, “In everything give thanks” is an old and familiar biblical truth, but few things are more helpful to our outlook, disposition and mental health than gratitude.
So, as we move into a new year, let us not be so infatuated with the new ideas to come that we ignore the wisdom we have already gained. As the old saying reminds us, “make new friends but keep the old, one is silver, and the other is gold.”
Something to take just a moment to consider on the last day of the year.
