Yes, the Lord is always mindful of you. But it is not a passive mindfulness. It is not a general awareness as He is aware of all things. No, His mindfulness of you is a personal mindfulness, such as that of a parent proudly fixated on her child in a marching band of hundreds. It is an affectionate mindfulness, as may be expressed in a love letter. It is a purpose-driven mindfulness, as from an employer who knows your value to the company and has plans to fully utilize your skills. It is a mindfulness that follows you wherever you go, whatever you do and is always greater than we can measure. As it is written, “How precious are your thoughts concerning me, O Lord, how vast is the sum of them. If I were to count them, they would outnumber the sand” (Psalm 139:17-18).
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
