One expects a real relationship to be dynamic. The interaction among family members, friends and colleagues is not the same every day. So it is with a relationship with the Lord. There are days with Him that are quiet and others that are more energetic. Some days are more conversational and others more reflective.
What is important to remember is regardless of the changing “aura” of our relationship with the Lord at any given time, He is always with us, He is always for us and He is always at work in us. As it is written, “God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9). The variation in our sense of “connectedness” is an important part of the process of making our relationship with Him more authentic, more personal, and more precious.
Something to take just a moment to consider today.
