An exchange a few minutes ago with a dear brother.
He shared: God is not mad at you; He is mad for you.
I responded: You’re on it, brother. The more we internalize the truth of His unchanging and passionate (i.e., not passive) love for us, the more transformative is the effect. “Mad for us” is right on target and yet still far away from the reality. Because the actual degree of His love for us surpasses imagination. Too big! Think “outer space.” THAT’S what I call madness!
“…and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:19).
