Jesus had piercings. He chose to get them to make a statement. Many people get piercings to make statements of individuality or self-expression. Jesus’s piercings were not attractive, but they were necessary to make His life statement, which was simply, “I Love You!”
As it is written, “He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” You can read the full statement behind His piercings in Isaiah chapter 53. It is a statement well worth taking just a moment to consider today.
