Letter To VBCC Family re: Sunday Streaming

May 13, 2021 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

Dear Valley Brook Family,

I am writing to you regarding the streaming of our Sunday service.  Over the past couple weeks, we have had some technical issues that perhaps have been especially frustrating for you as you have attempted to enjoy the service.  I want to, first of all, personally thank you for your patience and your prayers.

Second, please know that we are all striving for excellence and are utilizing all the resources and expertise we have to achieve it, and when we don’t achieve it, everyone on the team is distressed about it and are committed to figuring out what adjustments we need to make.  We are monitoring the service remotely, so we have “ears and eyes” on exactly what you are seeing and hearing, and we are communicating directly with the tech crew in real time.   We also want to thank those of you who have given us feedback as you have listened.  It has been helpful.  Please continue to do so.

Finally, even though most of you are participating in the service remotely, remember we are still a church family.  We need you!  Just as much as when we are all physically together at the church. So when we are having technical issues we would appreciate it if you could hang in there with us for at least 20 minutes as we address the problem. (It doesn’t usually take that long.)  Feel free to play some worship music, read from the Scriptures or from your daily devotional and above all pray.  Pray not just for the technical problems to be solved but pray for the team and for our viewers – present and remote.  As we know, our gathering to worship – even virtually – is different from programs viewed for entertainment purposes.  I believe your faith participation in this manner will help us sanctify the time and honor Jesus together as a church family.

If we aren’t able to fix the problem, remember you can watch or listen to it later from our website, under “Sermons.”

That’s my request of you, not just during the pandemic protocol, because we will be continuing to stream even when we are able to regather as a full church. I am asking that you will support us like this down the road as well when, for whatever reason, you’re tuning in instead of attending personally.

We love you and we greatly appreciate your support as we continue to diligently work to make our ministry experience as excellent, as encouraging and as enjoyable as possible for everyone.

With You in His Marvelous Light,
Pastor Dan
