Are you anxious about anything in particular today? If so, you are cordially invited by God to “cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
The opportunity this instruction offers us is to receive care from the Lord for whatever anxieties lie ahead of us, or call out from behind us, or that surround us at present. No matter their size or source.
But let us not limit our perception of His care to whether He gives us what we are asking for or instantly resolves the troubling matters at hand. Indeed, He may provide the results we want, but He is not limited to those ends. His care is multi-dimensional and infinitely creative. It comes from the storehouse of His unfathomable resources and includes things such as perseverance, hope, new relationships, joy, fresh opportunities, divine comfort, supernatural peace and infinitely more than can be listed here. The possibilities of His care are endless because all things are possible with the One who invites us to cast all our anxieties on Him.
So, in a very literal sense, for those who dare to trust Him, anxiety equals opportunity to receive a heavenly care package.
