It is Christmas Day Plus 1. Opening presents is in the rear view mirror. The Christmas feast is over (though the delicious leftovers remain). Relatives who gathered have headed home, or are about to in order to resume their normal routines. Though the festivities are over, let us remember we celebrate Christmas Day as the beginning of the blessing not as an end in itself. The best thing about Christmas continues with us every moment of every day of the year. “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
