When you are in trouble or are just troubled, “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help,” (Psalm 46:1) As God perfects us in His love, fear is increasingly cast out. We see Him for who He truly is – our Helper, not our judge. He becomes the first Person we turn to, not the last. And we run to Him at the first sign of smoke, and do not wait until the whole house is on fire.
