When Jesus gave His life, the gavel of God sounded at Calvary.
It sounded so loud it created an earthquake.
It sounded so loud it ripped the curtain of the temple in two.
It sounded so loud dead people came forth from their graves.
It sounded so loud a Roman guard said with stunned awe, “Surely this was a righteous man!”
It sounded to emphatically express God’s decree that the payment for sin had been made in full.
It sounded to proclaim that His justice had been satisfied.
It sounded to declare “righteous” all who place their faith in Christ.
It sounded to announce, “For all who believe, this court is adjourned forever!”
