Though you may feel like you are low on spiritual fuel, or even on “empty,” I can say from recent personal experience – like today, the Lord is faithful to His promise to give “strength to the weary.” He does so not by sending us strength from afar but by personally becoming our strength from within. His strength is not separate from His presence. The renewed strength we experience is nothing less than the living God Himself, by His Spirit, rising up within our inner being and infusing His power into our weakness. The “new strength” we gain from Him is not a delivery from Heaven, it is an enhanced connection with His presence within. In other words, to experience His power is to experience His presence.
