‘Loss Prevention” is the nuanced term for store or company security. But much of our life energy is dedicated to loss prevention. That is, trying to prevent the loss of what we have. Our jobs. Our standard of living. Our health. Our friendships. Our kids to evil influences. Our marriages. We carry within us more stress than we realize in our quest for life security.
But for us as believers, a time is coming when all that energy focused on loss prevention will be freed up to enjoy the riches of our inheritance in Christ without any fear of losing it. Such is our guaranteed and eternal destiny, that place where “moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal” (Matthew 6:22).
And every day brings us closer to its realization.
