The word of the Lord is perfect. It is “God breathed.” It can be trusted. And it points us to the One in whom we are to put our ultimate trust. For “He is the one all the prophets testified about…” (Acts 10:43a). We do not walk by faith in wishful or delusional thinking. The Scriptures point us to the historical Jesus Christ, “saying that everyone who believes in Him will have their sins forgiven in His name” (Acts 10:43b).
And the result of that forgiveness is a new relationship with God. A relationship of continuous companionship through His Holy Spirit. A relationship of eternal, unchanging favor. A relationship of truth-sharing. A relationship of “unsearchable riches.” A relationship Jesus describes as “Life more abundantly” (John 10:10).
If you are in Christ, that is your situation today, regardless of your mood or your circumstances.
