Pastor Dan Baty’s Monday Morning Boost

June 3, 2024 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

All of our investments of time, energy and desire in nurturing our relationship with Christ are responses to His investment in us, which occurred even before we were born and was planned before the foundation of the world. As it is written, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1 John 4:10). He invested the glory He had with the Father before the world began. He invested years of life on a sin-polluted earth. He invested being rejected by His own people. He invested His excruciating suffering on the cross and His shameful death. He has passionately yearned for you and I to have the privilege of knowing Him for a long, long time. To that end, embedded in every event and mood of our lives today and in this upcoming week are opportunities to experience His personal care. These opportunities can be excavated with the tools of prayer, praise and thanksgiving, meditation on His word, fellowship with other believers and dispensing His love to a world filled with anger and fear.

Let our desire for God always be a reminder of His boundless and eternal desire for us.
