Pastor Dan Baty’s Monday Morning Boost

June 10, 2024 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

“Before the creation of the world, God chose us in Him to be holy and blameless in His sight” (Ephesians 1:4).

God knew you intimately before the foundation of the world. He saw your laughter, your tears, your victories, and your struggles. He recognized your unique blend of talents, quirks, and dreams that define you. He was also aware of your habits, flaws, and insecurities. Knowing all this, He chose you. In a world where we strive to prove our worth and secure our place, He called you into a position of honor, to the esteemed status of being “holy and blameless in Christ Jesus,” by His grace.

God did not “take a chance” on you. He did not gamble on your potential. He did not choose you due to a lack of better options. Instead, He extended His hand, looked knowingly into your eyes, and said, “Come, walk with Me, share life with me, and get to know Me.”

You are in Christ today because you were chosen, because you are wanted, and because you are loved. You belong to Him not as matter of chance, but because of God’s unfathomable grace and His intentional choice to set His eternal affection upon you.
