“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
Along the road of life we encounter various pit stops. Some of these stops are planned, like a well-deserved rest or a moment of reflection. Others are forced upon us, perhaps through unexpected challenges or sudden changes. Regardless of how they come about, each pit stop holds a valuable lesson and contributes to our journey ahead.
Consider the story of Joseph. His life was filled with unexpected pit stops—betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and unjustly imprisoned. Yet, each of these stops was part of God’s greater plan to position him as a leader in Egypt, ultimately saving many lives during a famine.
In our own lives, we may not always understand why we face certain delays or detours. However, we can trust that God is at work in every situation. Each pit stop, whether planned or forced, is an opportunity for growth, reflection, and preparation for what lies ahead. Most of all, they are opportunities to grow deeper in trust and connection with the Lord as we rely on His strength and wisdom.
