Pastor Dan Baty’s Monday Morning Boost

January 27, 2025 By Dan Baty Leave a Comment

As we launch into a brand-new week, imagine embarking on an adventure with a trusted friend who is both a guide and coach. This adventure is filled with surprising encounters, challenges, joys, and perplexities. Yet, this friend knows the way, carries provisions, and offers support whenever you stumble or lose your bearings. That’s the kind of relationship the Lord offers us each day. He’s not just passively watching from afar; He’s actively guiding, inspiring, and helping us along the way.

This adventure includes the challenges of living in accordance with His word. For example, when He directs us to “be patient with everybody,” He stands with us as an ally, helping us overcome obstacles and encouraging our efforts. He is an ally for all of our aspirations for good and a comforter after our missteps. Even when we can’t, or don’t want to, lean into the task, we can always lean into Him.

In Psalm 28:7, David describes God as his strength and shield. This imagery paints a picture of God being both our inner strength and our outer protection. This means He gives us the power we need to move forward and shields us from more than we can endure.

Whether you’re facing a daunting project at work, dealing with personal or relational struggles, or perhaps just feeling uninspired, know that the Lord is your refuge, your strength, a very present help, and is forever for you.
