The God-given directive to love people we don’t even like is a daunting challenge. But it also becomes a precious opportunity to build a closer relationship with the Lord when we realize He is our helper and our friend, not our judge. He cares about how we feel. We can pour out our hearts to Him. He never expected us to love like Him in our own strength. Apart from Him we can do nothing but through Him we can do all things. As the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, so it is also the Spirit who inspires us to release His love to others. As we trust in His love for us it begins to flow through us.
